OpenDocument Presentation
ODP (OpenDocument Presentation) is an open-source file format for presentations, used by LibreOffice Impress and OpenOffice Impress. As part of the ODF standard, it is an XML-based alternative to PPTX and allows for the creation of slide decks with text, images, and multimedia. ODP files are designed to be interoperable and can be opened by most modern presentation software, including Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint. ODP sample files are used to test the compatibility of presentation tools with open standards. Developers use them to ensure that transitions, animations, and slide elements are preserved when opening files in different applications. They are also important for testing the robustness of parsing libraries that need to handle different implementations of the ODF specification.
